Love the moment and the energy of the moment will spread beyond all boundaries.

When you are a young person, you are like a young creek, and you meet many rocks, many obstacles and difficulties on your way. You hurry to get past these obstacles and get to the ocean. But as the creek moves down through the fields, it becomes larger and calmer and it can enjoy the reflection of the sky. It’s wonderful. You will arrive at the sea anyway so enjoy the journey. Enjoy the sunshine, the sunset, the moon, the birds, the trees, and the many beauties along the way. Taste every moment of your daily life.

What’s going on for you right now? I don’t mean the big stuff that is currently taking up space in your life and your schedule and your bandwidth…nope, I’m talking about this very moment that you are reading these sentences.
Can you pause just for a moment, take a deep breath or two (think HERE on the inhale, NOW on the exhale), and really notice what is happening in this very moment? Maybe activate your senses: look around and identify some of the colors visible in the space you’re occupying; touch several objects nearby to see what they really feel like; see if you can identify a few distinct sounds.
You’ll soon need to jump back into your day, and yes there may be some big stuff that needs your attention. I’m hoping our days can go a little better as we get a little better at tasting every moment…the good ones, the hard ones, the exciting ones and the plain ones.
Peace,
Paul
