No matter how dark things seem to be, or actually are, raise your sights and see the possibilities – always see them, for they’re always there.

Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.

PONDER
I’m stepping back into work mode after enjoying a few weeks of downtime over the holidays, and I’m determined to help us all dive into the new year with a refreshed outlook.
I recognize that the new year is starting under the ongoing Cloud of Covidia and most of us have plenty of other challenges we’re grappling with as well. This isn’t what we wanted, and yet it is what we’ve got.
Just as our eyes can adjust a few minutes after walking into a dimly lit room, there are possibilities out there waiting for us to recognize and pursue them. I can think back to plenty of times in my life when I’ve felt stuck, uninspired and uncreative…and then BAM something happens to tweak my perspective. Just like that, a fresh wave of energy and motivation and hope arrive to enliven my spirits and refresh my attitude.
Sometimes it is just a good night’s sleep that reinvigorates me; other times a good workout or an unexpected call from a good friend gives me a much needed lift. Right now I’m curious if the prospect of a fresh new year could jolt us a bit, creating an opportunity to squint our eyes, peer into the murky mess around us, and find some things to focus on that might give us direction and inspiration.
I can honestly report that just sitting here having read over today’s quotes several times and then writing out this ponder has brightened my mood considerably. Even though it’s pouring rain outside…I feel like I’ve got some internal sunshine that can help light the way for now…who’s with me? Let’s do this!
Peace,
Paul
