Ripples #842: Accepting Solitude.
July 13, 2015
PEBBLE
I still love to love my friends,
but I punctuate those moments with solitude.

BOULDER
One who will not accept solitude, stillness and quiet recurring moments…is caught up in the wilderness of addictions; far removed from an original state of being and awareness. This is “dis-ease”.

By the time you’re reading this, I will have logged out of Facebook, activated the email vacation reply, and begun a long, slow exhale towards a state of stillness so I can enjoy some quiet time before my fall craziness commences.
Don’t worry about missing your weekly splash of inspiration because I have your back: Ripples are queued for the next few weeks AND I made sure there are a gaggle of daily quotes all lined up to shoot out from the Facebook Page* and via @UnleashRipples on Twitter*. (Hopefully you know you can also choose to get them as a daily text? If not, scroll down to the “daily splash” info on our website* for details!).
While I’m offline for a bit, I invite you to join me in accepting solitude in your life. Perhaps an extended retreat would not work in your life right now, but you might be surprised at just how restorative even a few minutes of quiet and calm can be on your outlook and your productivity. Whether it is a walk in nature, a drive in the country, or snuggling up with a book or a journal, some time away might be just what your mind, body, and spirit need!
Take good care, fellow ripplers, and I’ll be back soon!
Peace,
Paul
