Forgive yourself for not being at peace. The moment you completely accept your non-peace….it is translated into peace. Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace. This is the miracle of surrender.

May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.
May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle in your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

If you asked me how I was last week, I would have said, “Just fine!” And truly, there were quite a few good things about the last seven days. Behind the scenes, though…it has been kooky and chaotic: full of unexpected twists and turns that have really messed up my computer and my life management systems and my routines and my schedule…and (as if you coudn’t tell), my peace. Add in the considerable turmoil happening in our society and in our world…and WHOA IT HAS BEEN A WEEK!
The details and the back story aren’t that interesting. What seems worth mentioning is how the above quotes helped me find my way back to a more peaceful, centered existence amidst all the hubub. They had been hanging out together for some time on my list of good quotes to eventually use in Ripples, and my first reaction when I read over them a few days ago was, “I cannot possibly ripple about PEACE when things seem to be unraveling all around me!” And then I paused, and smiled, and realized, “uhm, this is PRECISELY the right time to be rippling about peace!”
And so I’m piecing together these scraps of peace from here on Planet Paul, realizing that it isn’t a perfect, permanent peace I’m humbly offering you. Instead, I’ll whisper that I’ve found a wee bit of calm, a sampler of serenity that you’re welcome to savor for a few minutes if you’d like.
It won’t fix everything that needs fixing, but it doesn’t need to. You’ve got this. I’ve got this. And together, we’ve got this FOR SURE.
Peace,
Paul
