When you allow this moment to be enough, it doesn’t mean you stop working on what you want your life to be, it just means you are opening your heart to a more joyful life right now.

BOULDER
To live content with small means,
to seek elegance rather than luxury,
and refinement rather than fashion,
to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich,
to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly,
to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with an open heart,
to bear all cheerfully,
do all bravely,
await occasions,
hurry never —
in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and conscious,
grown up through the common.
This is to be my symphony.

PONDER
There are so many times I find myself at a crossroads, torn between a strong desire to sprint forward into go-go-go and a deep longing to settle back into slow-slow-slow. What’s a Ripple Guy to do?
One option is to listen to the question that bubbles up from deep within: What if ambition and acceptance aren’t opposites, but different instruments in the same orchestra?
The other morning, while sitting quietly in meditation, the phrase precious enoughness surfaced from somewhere deep inside. It brought a grin to my face—and a long, slow exhale to my breath. It felt like a gentle baton cueing me to soften my tempo—an invitation to remember that enoughness doesn’t require a full stop; it’s simply a call to sync with the rhythm of right now.
Later that day, as I tackled an ambitiously long to-do list, I caught myself murmuring precious enoughness under my breath—almost like a metronome reminding me to keep the pace humane.
Maybe this week you can experiment with your own tempo, letting effort and ease take turns leading the melody. See what kind of music emerges when you infuse each moment with a whisper of precious enoughness.
Peace,
Paul
