Life is going to be difficult,
and dreadful things will happen.
What you do is move along,
get on with it, and be tough.
Not in the sense of being mean to others,
but being tough with yourself and
making a deadly effort not to be defeated.

I have three things to say if you’re having a bad day
(or bad week, bad month, bad year, etc.):
1. I’m sorry!
Sometimes tough times are SOOOOOO tough, and tough times stink. I’m sorry you’re going through that.
2. Congratulations!
Even if you’re up to your eyeballs in hard times, you made it to today. It seems you have proven yourself strong enough, smart enough, and brave enough to face this beast that is in front of you.
3. You’ve got this!
Since you made it here, I feel pretty sure that you can transform all the learnings and doings that got you here into the energy and fortitude to make it to tomorrow. Is it gonna be tough? Hell yeah it is! Is it gonna be worth it? I’m gonna say YES!
