Love yourself.
Forgive yourself.
Be true to yourself.
How you treat yourself sets the standard for how others will treat you.

I sometimes find it tricky to discuss self-care stuff during presentations and within these Ripples emails. There are some people who have given up so much of themselves to caring for others that they’ve reduced their ability to take care of their own needs. These folks sometimes resist the “Secure your own mask before helping others” concept because it sounds selfish to them.
On the other end of the spectrum are people who are either so caught up in their own struggles, or have slipped into a “me me me” mindset, that they sometimes use these sorts of “be true to you” messages as justification to avoid opportunities to serve others.
I think that building a good relationship with yourself requires supplying a bounty of TRUST, RESPECT, and POSITIVE REGARD towards yourself. This creates energy that makes it easier for you to share these with others AND for them to return them back to you.
Strive to be true to yourself this week, whatever that means for you: being bold and speaking out, relaxing and giving yourself a break, or perhaps choosing what you want and need instead of what you think you’re “supposed” to do. Let’s go out there and be true, mkay?
Peace,
